Alvin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from William Paterson University in New Jersey back in 2010. With a decade of experience in special needs summer camps, after-school programs, home-based programs, and schools as a behavioral therapist, Alvin demonstrated a strong interest in pediatrics during his undergraduate and graduate studies. In 2016, he completed his Master’s of Science at Dominican College in New York.
In 2017, Alvin decided to work as a Travel School-Based Occupational Therapist, working in Non-Public Schools and Local Public School Districts across the Bay Area. He has worked with various age groups and diagnoses, ranging from mild to severe impairments, ages 2 to 21. Alvin focuses on sensory processing, with additional training in sensory-motor interventions, completion of the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder: Advanced Intensive Level 1 Mentorship, dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Intro Level C, Integrated Listening System, Reflex Integration, and the Astronaut Training Program. His training also includes social-emotional development, such as Social Thinking and the Zones of Regulation.
Alvin aims to provide unique treatment activities tailored to each child's needs, goals, and interests to enhance their self-confidence and achieve positive motor, social, and regulatory outcomes beyond the clinical setting.

Answer: Absolutely! I welcome the opportunity to work with your child following their initial OT evaluation elsewhere. To schedule an appointment or discuss how we can best meet your child's needs, please get in touch with us via email. Please take into consideration that Alvin P Occupational Therapy Service and OT4Kids will most likely have a waitlist for services.
FAQ: Do you accept insurance?
Answer: Alvin P Occupational Therapy Services and OT for Kids is a private, cash-based practice. While we do not directly accept insurance, we can provide a superbill at the end of each month. You can submit this superbill to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. If you have any questions about this process or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to us.
FAQ: How is Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) billed?
Answer: DMI is billed under occupational therapy (OT) services. As an occupational therapist, I use DMI as a strategic framework to support and achieve developmental gross motor milestones. If you have specific billing questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
